About this tool
Goods and Services Tax is charged on most sales in India at slab rates of 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%. This calculator handles both directions: add GST to a base price, or strip it out of a GST-inclusive total to find the base amount.
For intra-state sales it automatically splits the tax into equal CGST and SGST halves, and for interstate sales that combined figure is simply your IGST.
How to use
- Enter the amount in rupees.
- Select the GST slab rate (5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%).
- Choose GST exclusive (add tax) or GST inclusive (remove tax).
- Read the base amount, CGST, SGST, and total.
