Frequently asked questions
No. Image tools use your browser’s built-in canvas and image APIs, so your photos stay on your device from start to finish.
Use WebP or JPEG for photos (smaller files), PNG when you need transparency or crisp graphics, and AVIF for the best quality-to-size ratio if your audience’s browsers support it.
Lossy compression (JPEG/WebP at lower quality settings) reduces file size by discarding some detail. You control the quality slider, so you can find the balance between size and sharpness that works for you.
Images are processed in memory, so extremely large images (tens of megapixels) may be slow on low-end devices. For typical photos from phones and cameras there is no practical limit.
