About this tool
Raffles, sampling, dice substitutes, test data — random numbers come up constantly, and "pick a number" from a human is never actually random. This generator produces numbers in any range you set, with options for how many you need, whether duplicates are allowed, and sorted or raw output.
It uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source behind secure tokens — far less predictable than basic Math.random patterns.
How to use
- Set the minimum and maximum values for your range.
- Choose how many numbers to generate.
- Toggle "unique" to prevent duplicates and "sort" to order results.
- Click Generate, then copy or download the numbers.
Frequently asked questions
They come from the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), which is cryptographically secure randomness — unpredictable and unbiased, unlike simple pseudo-random formulas. Fine for giveaways, games, and sampling.
The tool warns you and generates the maximum possible unique numbers. For example, asking for 10 unique numbers between 1 and 5 yields all 5 numbers with a notice.
This tool generates whole integers. For decimals, generate integers in a scaled range (e.g. 1–1000) and divide by your factor.
Yes — both endpoints are included. A range of 1 to 6 can produce 1 and 6, just like a die.
