About this tool
TOTP Generator produces the same 6- or 8-digit codes as your authenticator app, from any Base32 secret — useful as a backup authenticator on desktop or for testing your own 2FA implementation. It supports SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512 with configurable time periods, shows a live countdown ring, and can render your secret as a QR code for scanning into a phone app.
Your secret key is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our server. It is never written to localStorage or any other persistent storage — it lives only in the page's memory while you use the tool.
How to use
- Paste your Base32 secret key (spaces are ignored).
- Choose digits (6 or 8), hash algorithm, and period (usually 30s).
- Read the current code from the live display and copy it before it expires.
- Optionally generate a QR code of the otpauth:// URI to scan into your phone.
